I (Ms. Brown) visited this particular store on 4/6/2016 and was greeted by a representative by the name of Donta, who said he was the manager of the store when I asked for a manager. I was attempting to purchase female Air Maxs that were supposedly a new style (Pink, white and grey) costing $200 and was told they only had one pair left. I asked Donta for a new pair and he said that the ones I tried on were new, but when I got to the check out desk they were in a beat up box and the paper inside the box was crumbled up. Needless to say, the shoes looked as it they had been tried on several times. So, I asked Donta for a new pair again, and he said it was the only pair they had left in the store for that size, that I could order this brand new style shoe online. I proceeded to ask for the corp number because I did not believe that a new style shoe would have only one 7 1/2 in the entire store, to which he claimed to have no knowledge of, but gave me access to a toll free number on the back of the receipt. I called the toll free number and spoke with several representatives while I was still in the store, who finally got me to the correct department that could help me with my complaint. The bottom line is, if I wanted to spend my money on a pair of used shoes that several people have tried on, that is my choice and my money, and not the store's representative (Donta). However, if I am spending $200 dollars for shoes, I should be able to also buy new shoes (if requested) and not shoes someone else has tried on multiple times. At the end of the day, I cancelled my membership with Finish Line to not return and went to spend my $200 at Footlocker in Deerbrook Mall, which is where I should have been in the first place. They were able to supply me with a pair of new shoes of my choice and didn't mind making sure I was comfortable with my purchase. Customer service goes along way and will kill any business, but horrible customer service coming from people like Donta, puts them in the position where they have to look for another job eventually. He is unfortunately the type of person that can hinder any business with the opportunity to make money if he continues his negative behavior.

I've shopped at finish line a lot lately, and Donta is the one who I usually run into when it comes to my shoes and another young lady. But overall for me I think they are doing an awesome job and they are so patient when it comes to customer service. Keep doing what you do Donta!!
